James Lanman and The Good Hurt is a four piece indie/pop/rock outfit operating out of Seattle. Their new EP, Slash and Burn, was recently recorded with Ryan Hadlock(Metric, The Strokes, Ra Ra Riot) at Bear Creek Studio and mastered by three time Grammy Award winner, Gavin Lurssen in Hollywood, Ca.
Singer/Songwriter James Lanman spent his years after college roaming around the world living as a musical gypsy, spending time in London(living in a bathroom), Italy, San Francisco and Los Angeles. A chain reaction of seemingly cosmic series of events after a solo tour up the West Coast during this period would bring Lanman to Seattle where he would meet his band members one by one within the span of a short few months and the rest was history.
