Nice Rack, the expandable equipment rack, was conceived out of necessity in 2001 by Darryl Matsui, a surfboard shaper with over 10 years of shaping experience and an accomplished mechanical engineer by trade. Darrylâs expanding surfboard business warranted maximum use of wall space for safely holding client surfboards as well as storing his ever increasing surfboard collection. Inspired by the simplicity of his sonâs Legos® and the durability of industrial shelving systems found in many stores and warehouses, Darryl used his engineering background and developed a simple to install and structurally sound expandable equipment rack system. These innovative and attractive racks are perfect for home use and allow the owner endless opportunity to easily add, remove or relocate their sports equipment.
